Starting with the 2025 registration year (required for 2026 expirations), Wyoming’s standard license plate features a design based on the state flag, utilizing its distinct blue, white, and yellow/gold colors. The new design retains the iconic bucking horse and rider logo and replaces the previous white-background plate.
Key Features of the 2025+ License Plate:
Design: Inspired by the Wyoming State Flag.
Colors: Blue, white, and yellow/gold, reflecting the state flag colors.
Logo: The required bucking horse and rider emblem is included.
Numbering/Letters: The plate generally features the 2-digit county number on the far left, followed by the bucking horse logo.
Validation: As of July 2024, electronic registration is available, and stickers have a 30-day grace period to be affixed.
Transition Information:
New plates are issued upon renewal in 2025.
Vehicles with 2026 registration expirations must display the new 2025 series plates.
Permanent trailer plates did not change.
