Implementation Details:
Availability: Issued for new vehicles beginning September 1, 2024.
Replacement: The new plate is not automatically reissued to existing owners. Drivers can upgrade by paying a \(\$4\) replacement fee during their regular registration renewal.
Alternatives: If the new design is not preferred, motorists can keep their current plates or choose from over a hundred specialty designs for an additional fee.
